Game: Lunar: The Silver Star/Silver Star Story Complete
Materials used: The gauntlets/shin guards were originally made of Wonderflex/spraypaint, but have since been remade with EVA foam, plasti-dip, spraypaint, and brass fasteners. The helm, breastplate (literally!), crotch plate, and heart plate were made from EVA foam, plasti-dip, spraypaint, Wonderflex (the white on the sides of the helm) tassels, sharpies, and glue. I had to make a custom pattern for the helm, and reused the breastplate pattern from Deedlit. The skirt was made of white and purple performance knits, an elastic band, and tassels sewn together. The white straps were made from white fake silk, and attach to the breastplate with velcro. The shoulder cape was made from white fake silk and black ribbon, the lower cape was bought. The shoes were reused from Ghaleon.The earrings were made from Wonderflex, metal wire (for stability),red paint, and clip-on earring bases. I lost 25 lbs to pull off this cosplay in late 2023, and have kept it off since.
Fun facts: This outfit is SO sexy that I had to censor it a bit by making some kind of skirt! Look at the concept art for more details. I certainly turned many heads. It’s fun to become Ghaleon’s blue-haired, big-breasted, goth goddess waifu 😉 At CTGamerCon 2024, I was given the interesting complinent: “Your eyes can melt souls”. Well, is your soul melting?!
There’s also a bit of a personal story that I don’t want to reveal too much of assciocated with this cosplay. I made it at an emotional low point, and the act of making/modeling it both brought me out of the depths of despair, and reaffirmed my desire to keep cosplaying.
