Thoughts: I feel bad that I haven’t cosplayed anyone from Final Fantasy in so long, I actually tried to make Cross Dressing Cloud and Summoner Yuna in the past 2 years, but both had a lot of unforseen difficulties and were never finished. I didn’t have a SNES/SFC growing up, so I first played FFIV 3D on my DS when it came out. More recently, I replayed FF4 via the Pixel Remaster version on my iPad. Rydia is one of Yoshitaka Amano’s best designs imo. She’s a strong woman and summoner, has to deal with the early death of her mother. Yet she still carries on the fight against evil, and sees that Cecil (FF4’s protagonist) is good man who was unknowingly and unwillingly involved in the bombing of Mist that claimed her mother’s life. She also has kickass summon and black magic abilities. I also chose to cosplay her as I had so much green fabric left over from making Citan, Deedlit, and an old green screen.
First premiered: 2025
