Game: Dragon Force (SEGA Saturn game, no connection to the power metal band)
Materials used: The cape was made from blue satin fabric, white ribbon sewn at the botom, EVA Foam sheets, gold acrylic paint, liquitex varnish, and rhinstones. The Staff of Harsgalt was made from two styrofoam spheres, model magic for the dragon’s tail/dragons’s body, EVA foam sheets/Wonderflex/half moon EVA foam dowels for the dragon’s wings, rhinestones for the dragon’s eyes, many shades of acrylic paint, and liquitex varnish. The breastplate, collar, and crown were all made from EVA foam/half moon EVA foam dowels, gold acrylic paint, liquitex varnish, a wire for support (crown-only) and blue rhinestone trim. The top was cut and swen from an old white cape. It attaches to the breastplace with velrco. The cape is held in place via dual-clear bra straps, sewn in a “V” shape over the top of the EVA foam, with the point of the “V” facing backwards. The arm cuffs resued from Hedva; they were made from Wonderflex and gold paint. The boots were bought and reused from Deedlit, but the metallic boot covers were made by me from EVA foam sheets, velcro, silver acrylic paint, and liquitex varnish. The blue leggings and belt were bought. Wig: Arda Wigs Venus Silky (Sky Blue), ears: Aradani studios Large Anime Elf Ears, makeup all applied by me.
Thoughts: I’m cosplaying a blue-haired anime girl from a Working Designs game that’s NOT Lunar for once? LOL… Dragon Force is a very unique game. It’s half RPG, but also half RTS. I’m normally terrible at real-time action games where the player controls a singular hero, but RTS game are much easier for me to play. As always, I love to cosplay fabulous elves and blue-haired anime ladies, and Teiris Palemoon counts for both. I also like her ship with King Wein of Highland, and the fact that they’re canon parents in the epilogue. Going forward, I will be using Glaze to prevent my images from being used to train Generative AI. For any others concerned about issues concerning AI, I recommend checking it out.
First premiered: 2025
